Shân Veillard–Thomas

Shan Veillard-ThomasShân is a coach, mediator and personal development specialist, having focussed on management and leadership development for many years. Her team development and leadership skills were honed while serving as an officer in the British Army. Shân believes that true executive development must go beyond mere training – her clients see benefits in her utilizing coaching, consulting and mediation in her work. Qualified as a Law Society accredited mediator, Shân brings these skills to the corporate and coaching arena. Shân is a trained High Performance Coach, and an NLP Business Master Practitioner, and has undergone extensive training in the UK and the USA. She is a Member of the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM).

Shân particularly enjoys working with executives on creating understanding in their roles as managers and leaders as they transition into new roles and refine their performance development, such as partners in international law firms and executives transitioning into senior management roles.

She has direct experience of the issues arising from managing in a cross–cultural environment, having lived and worked abroad for nearly twenty years in France, Germany, the Middle East and the Far East. She speaks several languages, holds French and British nationality, and is a bilingual French/English speaker.

Shân founded PCI for executive coaching and consulting work with a team of British, American and French coaches and consultants in London, Paris and Abu Dhabi.


 

Jonathan Soar

Jonathan SoarJon believes that we all have the resources within ourselves to achieve amazing things, and this led him into executive coaching in 2006.

Jon has spent twenty years of his career in information technology and consultancy. For most of this time, he ran a software development company in the City of London whose clients included some of the largest international investment banks. He has had the privilege of working with many senior executives in highly pressured, competitive and demanding environments, for whom coaching is an invaluable aid.

Since 2006, Jon has qualified as a NLP practitioner and graduated from an International Coaching Federation–accredited in–depth coach training programme. He has built up a coaching client–base which typically consists of senior executives.

Jon is an Associate Member of APECS (The Association for Professional Executive Coaching and Supervision). His areas of concern include: personal and professional authenticity and congruence; intra–personal and inter–personal relationships, dynamics, influencing skills; personal and professional change management; confidence, realizing potential; presence, gravitas; emotionally intelligent leadership; and team interaction, Board development.

He describes his evolving coaching style as: solution focussed and results driven; process oriented with a practical approach; co–active, in the moment and intuitive; non–directive; friendly, humorful and enjoyable; and direct, challenging (yet supportive), encouraging.

Jon first worked in France in the early 1980s teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) and he is fluent in French. He has a BSc (Honours) in Philosophy and Economics. He is the Junior Warden of the Information Technologists’ Company (a City of London Livery Company) and is the Chairman and a Trustee of its Charitable Operations company. He is also a Freeman of the City of London and a Member of the British Computer Society (MBCS).


 

Alice Armstrong–Scales

Alice Armstrong–ScalesAlice has always had a passion for teaching and helping others to achieve their goals.

With over eighteen years of teaching experience – initially Montessori then in TEFL and executive language training – Alice found that NLP was the perfect progression of her extensive coaching skills.

Alice ran a successful language business, Armstrong Languages, in Paris for twelve years before taking time out to have her three small children. During this time her skills went beyond language teaching and over the years her practice developed to include negotiating, presenting, socializing and diplomacy as an art in business.

Bryan Emden

Bryan EmdenBryan specialises in executive coaching and senior leadership development.  He has over twenty years experience in leadership and has been a non–executive director of a property PLC. He brings a strong background in behavioural and personal change.

His clients include partners in professional partnerships, directors within investment banks and the oil industry. He also works in the public sector.

Bryan works on emotional intelligence, leadership styles and personal effectiveness. He is empathic and passionate about assisting with change and development. He likes to challenge and at the same time support his clients in their new learning. He works on developing trust and rapport and assists with integrating new knowledge and insights. Bryan was a partner in a law firm dealing with management and business issues as well as strategy and vision.

He then trained and worked as a psychologist in private practice, dealing with change, identity and development, as well as stress–related work issues and factors inhibiting personal growth.

Since 2002 he has been working with leaders, law firm partners and middle managers on performance, development and behavioural issues.


 

Diana Furniss

Diana has worked as a bi–lingual expert since 1981 in both the UK and France. Over the years she has held various positions in–company (French/US/Japanese/Swedish entities) in the field of public relations, promotions, marketing and advertising.

As her career led her to participate in international strategic and European harmonization meetings, she came to understand the true difficulties that certain of her colleagues faced due to low input in meetings because of their poor expression in either French or English. She often found herself standing in or covering for top directors.

Over the years, as the workplace became more complex and demanding, Diana accompanied one particular company in the internationalisation of their management training consultancy. In the process, she became increasingly aware of the different factors hindering a manager’s ability to focus on his or her priorities, including adapting to change, stress, lack of confidence in certain areas, team cohesion, and motivating staff, as well as language barriers.

Diana has a media studies degree, and with her consumer psychology experience and her bi–cultural and bi–lingual origins (French/English), Diana developed a curiosity and a desire to master various tools to continue offering practical support to clients. Diana trained as an NLP practitioner in 2006 and completed a High Performance Coaching Course in 2008 to improve her natural inclination in guiding clients to establish learning goals and strategies and to accompany them to a position of assertive autonomy.

Today, Diana Furniss is a bi–lingual and bi–cultural coach. She has a particular understanding of the French business world, having lived and worked in France since 1985. Her in–company working experience lies in marketing and advertising, and her coaching experience has led her to work in the field of luxury goods, advertising, corporate banking, executive search, management consulting, hotel and tourism, research in ergonomics, museums, media, IT, pharmaceutical products, medical advertising, chartered accounting, and so on.

Andrea J. Reive, Captain (USAF) retired, inspires transformational leadership, smooth transitions and culture change. She is a native Scot, who recently returned to the UK after a dynamic international career spanning three continents as Executive Coach, California Licensed Attorney / Judge Advocate, and Corporate Research Scientist.

Andrea is a firm advocate of the fact that learning to lead is a lifelong pursuit and that exemplary leaders continuously strive to improve themselves. As a scholar of leadership, she acts as ‘think partner’ for other leaders and helps them identify micro–adjustments to their behaviour which once implemented can improve all working relationships and overall effectiveness.

Undertaking a dual role as both legal and leadership consultant while serving as a JAG (Judge Advocate General) in the United States Air Force, Andrea was schooled in leadership with abundant on–the–job training. She is passionate about transformational leadership in this knowledge worker age, and draws on her own experience as a participative leader to enable others to better motivate their subordinates and deliver constructive feedback. With her energized approach to coaching, and added touch of humour, she motivates others to become peak performers.

Armed with corporate scientific experience as a research scientist at Hoffman La Roche in New Jersey, Andrea then transitioned into her legal career.

Andrea was stationed in Japan with the JAG Corp. for over two years, working and travelling extensively throughout East Asia. Her excellent communication skills saw her selected for high visibility briefings and protocol events. Returning to California, Andrea was placed in charge of all legal and leadership training and development. Instituting a weekly training program, she coordinated her training with numerous outside experts and actually televised the sessions. Her initiatives were held up for example to the greater USAF Judge Advocate General Corps.
